Set workload to Stun!
Aug. 6th, 2005 07:39 pmWell, so far today I've done the following (in no particular order):
- got up at 8-30am
- gone shopping at B&Q for room decorating stuff
- used said stuff on the bedroom, filling in almost all cracks & gaps on the walls & ceiling
- arranged plumbers
- arranged electricians
- tried to arrange vets for Lyra, but they only had an emergency service only, so we have to do it later
- cleaned the house
- shown the (newly cleaned) house to a rental agency to determine how much it could be rented out for & what we had to do to make it legal for them to rent it out
- contacted a landscape gardener to come over & revise his 2 month-old quote in light of some changes
- given final approval to the landscape gardener to start on Tuesday next
- spoken with the neighbour about her moving in as a tennant when her contract expires in September (which, frankly, is spookily convenient)
- set out a budget for the next 3 months of house & Amsterdam related stuff (debt here we come...)
- read my new contract (its finally arrived! though one of the documents they want me to sign & return is in Dutch, so this might be a problem on Monday...)
- done next weeks food shopping
- ironed my shirts for the next week
And I'm off to the grove cafe tonight for a meal. Tomorrow I've got a bedroom to clear, bedroom walls to clean & a bedroom ceiling to paint. All to be followed by chocolate, a alcoholic drink of some sort & possibly a period of nervous exhaustion.
