Well, its Tuesday. Last night C & I enrolled on our Dutch courses, and I also slept for something close to 11 hours, so I feel considerably better than I did yesterday – though I suspect I blew my diet yesterday with 2 snickers bars & 2 cans of coke in the afternoon. However, in an attempt to make some progress with my life, I’ve got an appointment with the bank manager at 2pm today to set up my pension.
On the downside, I cannot find my passport at home (needed, I think, to act as my ID to set up my pension), Carole has gone off to the UK for the next few days (I hope that shes not taken my passport!), nor could I find my umbrella this morning and the Amsterdam skies decided to make me soaking wet on the way to work. Also, its been implied (but not actually said) that me requesting ay time off between now & the end of February would not be looked upon favourably, as we’ve got “too much to do”, which is going to be interesting, as it’s a) my birthday on the 23rd January, and b) C’s 30th birthday party on the 1st weekend of Feb!
Also, I’ve generated a ‘Plan B’ for Brave_New_Worlds, setting up a Yahoo group to cater for the purpose as Smartgroups seems to have died on me. It was not an easy decision, as I don’t want to jerk my players around – especially close to the first set of orders being due (and I cant access Yahoo from work, whilst I can with Smartgroups). However, after a week of (increasingly frustrated) attempts to get any response (at all) from the smartgroups support desk, or post any message at all to the smartgroup, I’ve decided to cut my losses & move whole-sale to the Yahoo group. Also, this morning, I notice that some of the files & settings of my old group appear to have been deleted – such as the picture, so I get the impression that its going…
