Tuesday – the light at the end of the tunnel gets slightly larger. Not by much, I agree, but certainly larger. Come Friday afternoon, I suspect it’ll be entirely light. Unless there are the wrong kind of leaves on the line…
BNW returns & Middle East document were completed & sent-out last night for my players to read, and, I have to say that I was utterly exhausted by the end of it & went to bed so wound up I barely slept. On the plus side, I also managed to make a start on the Dutch homework (due today) – its going to be completed at lunchtime, barring a major eruption of work. At least I can now recharge my mental batteries until the next deadline; I was (briefly) tempted by the ‘end of March’, but that’s a) less than a month away & b) quarter-end for me – which would be bad bad bad. I’ll release confirmation nearer the time, but I’m tempted towards the April 15th, personally.
Also, I voted today. I went to the polling station and voted for ‘Green Links’; this is a green left-of centre party who – after discussions with C (and my limited understanding of their manifesto), they seemed to be only one of the 2 parties that I’d vote for (the local equivalent of the labour party being the other), as the Conservatives ‘lets let cars into Amsterdam’ policy strikes me as stupid, (its smaller than Leeds & riddled with canals!) Helloo? Think Macfly! Think!) whilst the others were non-runners as far as I’m concerned (ie were either communists, or nationalists, or ‘evict all the foreigners, its all their fault).
Sadly, I didn’t get to vote for Carole despite having agreed to do this, and being there and all the rest… she’d forgotten to sign the back of the voting slip giving me permission to vote for her! I’ve posted her voting cards back into the house, so – if shes back from the UK in time – she can get them & has a chance of voting, but it’ll be close. Shes also going to be a mite p1ssed off at herself, I suspect…
