Best teaser trailer ever...
Apr. 1st, 2006 03:34 pmMy plans for today included watching V for Vendetta at the local Imax cinema. Despite some teething troubles, the film started, albeit a touch late. We got to the point where Natalie Portmans character is collared by some people in a back alley (at the very start of the film), and then... the sound goes.
We then get 5 minutes of totally silent action, whilst the audience gets increasingly irritated. After that, the picture is stopped & then we get to wait. And wait. And wait.
Eventually a manager style chappie comes in & apologies as they've done a bodge job, but they're not sure how long it will last, as they've got to get a part from Canada. However, they're prepared to play the film from where they stopped it, but a) there would be no recap of the action (including the silent bit) and b) the sound probably would be out of sync with the rest of the film. So we left, with a full refund in our pockets...
In all, 'somewhat peeved', but thats life, I guess!
