I feel somewhat rough, I suspect that C’s cold has me in its grasp, so I’m going to investigate the possibility of going home early at some point today.

 

In other news, I abjectly failed to make contact with Whollyrandom, Grampus & co to play DoW, despite several text messages to people. As I don’t know what you’re calling yourselves, or how to contact other people using the game, playing a network game is a tad difficult.

 

On the other hand, the lack of multiplayer game was probably for the best, given that when I’ve played it on campaign mode, my machine has a 100% track record of crashing on me when it flicks up the ‘Congratulations, you’ve destroyed the enemy” box. On seeing this, it hangs indefinitely, looping the last 2 seconds sound at me.

 

After about 2 hours of play (not to mention about an hour of re-starting, swearing & general irritation), I’d captured the same province 3 times, to no avail, so I gave up in disgust. Instead, I went to bed accompanied by a cat for company & the Reality Dysfunction, which I’m reading again because I hated it the first time round (but loved the other 2, oddly).
