Just a quick update

I've not posted for a while now (its only been a few days, but it feels longer) thanks to the joys of the intensive Dutch course that I'm putting myself through. On balance, I'd say that its going pretty well, now that I've got through the insomnia that the first nights homework caused. 

As to the course itself, I've redone & reworked a lot of stuff (grammer, vocabulary, pronunciation etc) over the last 3 days that had previously taken me the best part of 2 years to learn at the night school courses. Whilst this is good, I'm still not progressing to where I want to be - ie I wont be close to fluent, or reading Harry Potter or its ilk come Friday afternoon!

The course itself starts at 10am, and lasts until 1 & I then have about 2 -3 hours of vocabulary revision to do (I get tested the following morning), not to mention about 2 - 3 hours of homework as well (also reviewed & tested the following morning).

Today, however, I'm taking a break. I'm past the halfway stage & I can feel that I'm getting rather frazzled neurons from all this learning. Still, I I've got at least another 2 hours to do - I have to at least make an attempt on the homework, before I call it quits for the night. 

Following on from this week, I'm going to be going to an intensive night-school course, so I'm hopeful that I can go some way to making some major progress on the language front this year. 

Back to it I guess.
