Back from the midwife

As part of the regular scan - and it turns out that C is 2cm dilated already!

They did a sweep to start to encourage things along - and they think that its going to be happening very soon.

Off to tell my boss that I might not be in tomorrow, after all.

Presently there's a high-level delegation taking place at our house attended by scientists and philosophers, all dedicated to answering the question 'what is a contraction?'

The current conclusion is 'we dont know', so its looking as though its going to be a long, tiring and rather unproductive night.
