Information needed
Nov. 12th, 2011 02:54 pmOne of the things that I've really missed since moving to the Netherlands is the ability to listen to the radio. Similarly, since Daniel has started to relate to things on TV, we've pretty much stopped watching the news channels in the morning - also, if nothing else, we dont have the time to feed him & watch tv and get out of the house.
As such, we've been streaming BBC radio 4 through C's laptop - but firing it up in the morning is a really slow process and we loose about 5 - 10 minutes whilst it connects etc, which is a pain. A potentially better alternative, however, is a LAN internet radio.
My knowledge of these things is pretty minimal - 1980's technology still astounds me - so I'd like to know what my options are. Can anyone here suggest anything that meets my requirements?
Thanks in advance

PS. No, Jon. I dont want an iPad. I want something that can be plugged into the local cable as the wifi is patchy. Thanks!
