Well, its Thursday lunchtime.
Apr. 21st, 2005 12:35 pmFinal accounts are in full swing here at the NHS meaning that I’ve had to put a hold on my plans of diving training – simply put, I don’t have the spare time to go out & get a dry suit sorted out in the evening / lunchtimes any more. So everything is on halt until I get some more spare time. (Not that that’s ever going to happen).
On the plus side, Jo Fox went on a Try-Dive at the Leeds pool last night. As far as I’m aware, she seemed to enjoy it (and said so), but only time will tell whether she turns up again. I hope so... Thoguh, be warned! In a conversation at the pub afterwards a short “hit list” was drawn up of other people to approach about try dives. You will be informed in due course, if your name was mentioned…!
In less good news, the hunt for a permanent job (or should that read “permanent job hunt?”) has taken a few setbacks this week – the details are ( here )
The weight is creeping up again – mainly noticed by the fact that I feel bloated & sluggish, though it’s because I a) failed to go to the gym this week & b) my diet was blown to smithereens due to 2 beer fuelled sessions over the weekend and also a beer and chocolate evening on Tuesday - the evening that I normally go to the gym. By “normally” I mean, of course, “the evening where I would go to the gym, if I actually got off my fat behind & went to the gym”, rather than “the day where I undertake physical exercise”. In all, its been a bad week physically, but I am assured that the beer & chocolate sessions were needed.
And its going to get worse – I mean, Saturday is Mavis’s Fading Suns game, where I will probably end up getting my character either killed, or so far into trouble that he’ll be unplayable (pursued by the entire Church across the universe in my demon ship…!), which will probably involve alcohol, and then I’m off to Robins LAN party for beer & company & a laughable attempt on my part to play computer games (arrival depending on how long it takes for Fading Suns to self-destruct!)
