Well, no weight update today, cos both C & rolled out of bed and went 'nah'; we've obviously both come down with some minor bug, we're lethargic and generally drained, though C has got it worse than me.
Despite that, it was still a weekend laden with achievements: the computer was returned to functionality and has not yet crashed (thanks to everyone for your assistance on that - most appreciated), shopping & sorting was generally done & the bedroom & spare room were attacked mercilessly, meaning that we are now in a position to provide accomodation to people. Yes, there's still a lot more to be done - including a trip to Ikea that we just couldn't face (or aford) - but we now actually have a spare room that can be used as a bedroom, rather than a room that could potentially be used as a bedroom, so thats a plus.
And its only a 4 day week for me - I am looking forward to next Fridays time in the UK; ostensibly its meant to be to complete the house sorting, but, instead, its transforming into something mainly social in nature, cos the letting agency have confirmed to me that they're going to do the necessary. I was going to turn up & micro-manage them, but as C said, we're paying the agency to do this & if I interfere, it's less clear that its their problem to fix. So its looking as though I've got a long weekend of shopping, board-games, apfelkorn, sorting , socialising and general "stuff" to do. And I am *really* looking forward to it.
I think, tbh, the general lethargy in C & myself is just stress; we've now in the "the immediate work is over - get on with it" stage of the move. But still, we knew it was going to be like this when we moved over. Now if only I could get BBC Radio 4 when I wake up; I dont like listening to music in the morning, and turning the TV on to listen to the news in the morning is just, well, wrong.
