Well, last night, I managed to get a lot of the tasks I had on my plate done - including:
1) My planned running. I did an entire km with no stops. Go me! (or should that be 'went me?')
2) Two hours (out of the 3) of my evening greenbelt course.
3) Some house cleaning (if filling the dishwasher & tidying really counts)
4) a few chapters of 'Across Realtime'
Followed by a shower & then a collapse into bed. Job well done, I think.
Life is pretty good. The weather today is absolutely perfect and I've just come back from the shops where I bought a small fruit salad, corrected the wrong change the shopkeeper gave me & then (in another shop) ordered a ham sandwich with salad & no butter. All of my transactions were in dutch (or at least, "Dutch, plus 'point & grunt' option"), so I feel really quite accomplished.
I'm looking forward to a week this Friday, by then the greenbelt training will be done & dusted, month-end will be over and, more importantly, Carole will finally be able to spend some time in Amsterdam, rather than be forced to fly off for business meetings in the UK every 3rd day!
