May. 2nd, 2006 07:23 pmColleague must die. We're approaching month-end at a fair rate of knots & he was meant to be in on Monday to do a whole load of stuff that was 'absolutely urgent & must be done by Monday at the latest', but has remained incommunicado until walking through the door at 4pm today. After being bo**ocked by his manager, he then turns to me and says (and I quote):
'Well, I suppose I can get through the backlog tonight. You'll stay late with me today, wont you Stephen?'
Answer: It would appear not, no. So he's working late, and it serves him right too.
Also, tonights conundrum: 3 hours homework for a course that has to be done by the weekend, a 1km run, no wife (shes in the UK at last report), no motivation & a several hours of housework. Then add a dash of BNW orders to be read & chortled over, 'Across Realtime' by Mr V.Vinge which was started yesterday & a p1ssy stupid day at work. Solutions (if any) on a postcard, please.
