Hey-ho

The returns were completed last night. And then eaten again. By my estimation, I wrote 'about 5,000 words' last night, of which I have 'about 2000'. Its painfully slow progress, and there's only so many times that I can write them....

But I *am* making progress (net gain of 2k words - go me!) & all of them are now in the order of 90% done, but I was so close. Anyhoo, its 'wordpad' time from now on in, as a) I've got it & b) apparently its slightly more stable than word.

My job

Rocks. Usually, its "pretty good, considered" but we've just been provided with an afternoon off, coupled with free food, free beer & a in-house TV screen to watch the match on.

Needless to say, I'm not watching the match (as, well, y'know, its like, um, football), but the beer is nice. I intend to use my local computer to write ever-increasing amounts of returns whilst consuming some of the prodigious amounts of vittles, work has provided.

Working for large multi national corps: it has its advantages.
