After the wonderful wedding in Cambridge (whose downside was an abject failure to contact Whollyrandom for unknown reasons), I've had the day off today, ostensibly to recover from the year-end that was finally done & dusted on Friday. As such, today has been action packed with lots of chores, tasks & things that I've been meaning to do for some time now, but have been put on the back-burner due to work-stress issues, so its not exactly been restful. But generally successful, especially in that I've cleaned the house, been shopping (food in the house! yay!) & booked the next set of Dutch courses.
The only thing thats preventing it from being a total success is the absence of a letter from the Dutch tax authorities confirming that I've got the 30% rule. I know that I've had this letter & I know that I filed it away in the file marked 'Dutch tax stuff', but its not there. I seem to recall vaguely that I took it with me when I went to the bank several months ago when discussing mortgages, but its not where it should be.
This is not a 100% full-blown panic, but it is darn inconvenient, as having this letter allows a lot of things other than tax matters - like exchanging UK driving licences to Dutch ones etc etc.
I'm in a mood about this; it should be where it was, or, failing that, where it should be. And its not.
Dammit.
