A bit of a mystery here at work; one of my colleagues has had to leave the office rather abruptly & go to Antwerp, to meet someone. We’re not sure who this is, or why – shes being very tight-lipped about it all, but shes obviously very stressed about the entire process & its quite blatantly not something she wants to do.
But it begs the question of why; I mean, she comes from Italy & all her friends & family are there, so if it was a family matter, then she would presumably be going to Italy. If it was someone coming to the area to visit her, then surely they should have gone to Amsterdam? So what could be so stressful that would see the person come to Antwerp, but couldn’t make the final 3-hour journey to get here?
The best explanation I can come up with is that its a very junior family member who’s turned up to the wrong airport (Antwerp instead of Amsterdam) at short notice, but this seems to be stretching it somewhat.
Also, its providing distraction from the woman who got divorced last year & is now pregnant (the rumour is that the father is a team leader over here), whilst another of my colleagues is moving to Aruba in 2 weeks time.
Typical, eh. No gossip for months & then 3 decent stories come along at the same time.
Tisk.
