shell-shocked
Mar. 30th, 2007 06:24 pmToday I got into work for 6-40am, produced large quantities of month-end accounts by 8am, found a major glaring error in the computer system, left work at 9am, went to Hilversum, bought a house, had a generally irritated conversation with my boss over the phone about the same massive glaring error, returned to the office, had another irksome conversation with a former boss who forced me to take on board a whole load of work, spent several hours opening crucial account combinations, whilst main boss kept asking me why it wasn’t done yet, completed the combination work after 3 hours intense work, was berated for not having fixed the massive glaring error whilst I was doing the other crucial task, took a deep breath, counted to ten, went back to my desk, spent a further 2 hours before finally tracking down the massive glaring error & found out that it wasn’t my fault anyway, explained it & the solution to my boss in little tiny words, whilst expending large amounts of self-control & then prepared a journal that will fix the problem.
I’m going home now. Its been a long day.
