Well, C has managed to contact UPC (the local phone / tv / internet provider) and has made the fantastic discovery that the phone & internet will be connected to the house... in between 3 & 4 weeks time. Given that they've had the request form for almost 3 weeks now, thats an impressive 6 - 7 weeks to get connected.
Oh, and they cant confirm when someone will be at the house to do the connection either. As Hilversum is now an hour away from both of our employers, it means that we're going to be taking a week off between us, to make sure that someone's in.
C (strangely) has taken this badly; she needs an internet connection so that she can work from home - meaning that she will be away 5 days a week for 3 to 4 weeks.
Oh such fun. I expect the phone & internet (when they finally get connected) to be extra-specially brilliant & interesting to compensate for the irritation & hastle I'm going to have to go through.
