Slowly starting to breathe again
Oct. 5th, 2009 03:07 pmCarole and I are starting to recover as we gradually become more aware of what has to be done and what is happening around us.
Because of this, we are planning on taking the next 2 weeks off together and then I will try and gradually return to work. C is obliged by law to take full maternity leave, and will get back to work around the end of the year.
At some point in the next month, we expect to go back to the UK, to visit Leeds. There are several reasons for this - not least are the fact that we desperately want to meet our new niece or nephew, when Allie gives birth. Also, we hope to sort out the UK house, should it be an option - though this is so secondary that it barely warrants a mention.
I do not expect us to be back for any length of time, but it would be good to see people - though we have no indication of dates, or how fragile our emotional state will be when we're over.
