Joshua has arrived!

Joshua William Connor Parkinson was born last night at 11:49pm, after less than 4 hours of labour. His weight was 4.8 kilos (just under 11 pounds). Delivery was textbook, no medication was used & C was up & about within 30 minutes. I had to go home as there was no room in the hospital for me to stay the night & finally got home at 4am, but such is life. We'd arranged for Daniel to stay at a friends overnight and have extended this one more day to give us time to settle in & get over the crucial first 24 hours without distractions. Everything is going well.

Tired, but extraordinarily happy.
