Just take it easy for a year, or,
Apply for another online German course, or,
Go for an in-person 14-week course?
On balance, I think that the online course is probably not the way forward (this year) as, whilst its pretty good at helping me learn basic vocabulary, its not done ‘live’. Given that the main thing I need is practice in communicating with people, having the option to make another attempt on questions etc just makes me sloppy. Also, the online course is more expensive.
On the other hand, taking a break would be very welcome, especially with Josh being so small. And the CPD is definitely sorted this year, so a year off would not be an inherently bad thing.
Hm. If I’m going to do one it has to be an in-person evening course when C we have reached the point that she can put both boys to bed. So that means I’ll be looking at going to the course between September & mid-December, which locks down the latter part of the year quite comprehensively.
Hmm.
