Well we start 2019 with…Brexit.

Apparently the government is considering re-postponing the postponed vote because she will lose it when it comes to parliament as - astonishingly – the mood amongst the DUP & Tory MPs remains unchanged.

Anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together could have told you this was going to happen as the DUP are demanding that legal changes be made to the agreement (not the future arrangement) and all that May can offer is changes to the future arrangement.

Similarly, the Ultras don’t like the deal because it would prevent them from trading with Donald Trumps Magic Unicorn Emporium because of trivial things like standards and regulations, workers rights and environmental protections. Since when were Britons “too good” to drink pus-filled milk?

So I guess Mays plan is to delay the delayed vote even more, to issue horrific threats to the public and generally do their best to be the worst, most divisive, most mean-spirited British government ever?

Meanwhile the Labour party have responded to the opinion poll that over 80% of their members support a second referendum on the terms of the deal… by ignoring their members and insisting that Brexit is going to go ahead, no matter what.

Honestly, if this took place in South America, I would be expecting a coup - or at the very least massive riots. Instead, the UK is vaguely hungover and in a tizzy about the “Migrant Crisis”, which, at its heart, involves a dozen people crossing the channel in small boats.

Welcome to 2019. I’d advise you to skip this one if I were you.

Its not going to be pretty.
