Someone needs to tell St Jeremy that a speech trailed as a 'major intervention on the topic of Brexit' should actually contain at least 1 policy that can:
a) be taken seriously by the electorate,
b) be taken seriously be Parliament &
c) be taken seriously by the EU.
Opining that 'we need a Brexit deal that works for Britain' is sadly waffle, not a policy. Similarly, we would need the EUs permission to delay Article 50 - something we're not going to get, unless it is to negotiate a robust & settled policy (such as "Norway Plus" or a second referendum).
So yay. This was a totally pointless 'intervention by numbers' approach to politics. Meaningless, pointless and just as hopelessly pie-in-the-sky as the Tories plans.
