Went to the local swimming pool yesterday for an hour or so - and had a great time; the waver machine was cool, the water slide was cooler (but rather bumpy & hard on my back) and the fact that the nice lady on the desk let us in for free was super-cool. So "definitely doing that again, I think".
The cat has developed an uncanny ability to vanish, and we cannot find where she goes to; we'll be watching TV / reading and realise that there is no sign of her anywhere - even after creeping around the house surreptitiously trying to find her. After 20 minutes of increasingly puzzled searching, she appears at the top of the stairs, all nonchalant, seemingly saying “Oh. Hello, feeding monkeys. Is there a problem?”; however, the feeding monkeys – err I mean, Carole and I – think that we’ve worked it out – we’ve found a small “cat nest” under the spare bed that seems to have been occupied recently, but we’ve not had any proof of it yet. I suppose we’re going to have wait to try & catch her at it…
