A quick observation
Dec. 6th, 2018 08:47 amAs you can tell, I’m back on LJ after a long absence and I’m spamming it with (essentially) posts about politics – and yet I am still on FB. Why is this?
Well, simply because I don’t like FB. Aside from its sheer invasiveness (its on the phone, it’s a messenger, you can log in to other sites using your ID etc etc etc) I detest the its superficiality, as it is mainly tailored towards images. However, I can’t really abandon FB as my parents and family are all there. I need to ensure that my family still get to see the photos of my children – but I also want some space of my own to ruminate, without wasting everyones time.
Its not ideal, and something of a bind, but I’m glad to be back on LJ – and glad that the technical problems that plagued LJ back in 2009 seem to have been resolved.
(I’ll get back to posting about politics soon, I promise)
